The portrait procedure begins with a discussion in which the size, setting, and background of the portrait is decided. Clothing and other details will also be determined.
During this time I will take numerous photographs and make notes and sketches of certain details. Using the photographs as reference, the client, with my assistance, decides on the best pose for the portrait. From this information, the final price is determined and a contract of agreement is signed. A 30% nonrefundable deposit is required at this time.
After this I will return to my studio and begin work on the portrait, using the photographs and sketches as references. The client will be able to view the portrait as it progresses (in person or through photographs sent via e-mail).
Upon completion of the portrait it will be delivered to the client. After acceptance of the portrait, payment of the remaining balance on the contract is due.Travel, mileage, shipping, and other associated expenses are additional. These are itemized and billed separately from the portrait.
